PSAT FEE
Attention Parents: In the past, all 10th graders have been given the PSAT courtesy of the state of Georgia. Unfortunately, due to recent state budget cuts,the PSAT is no longer free or given during school hours. The test will only be administered on Saturday, October 16th. Please see the guidance office to sign-up and pay the $20.00 testing fee.

Fayette County Board of Education is pleased to provide student application accounts to our high school students. High school students will have FCBOE student email account, access to Internet storage, a calendar, web based word processing and spreadsheets, and a place to publish web pages. These are considered school resources and are therefore governed by the Student Internet Acceptable Use Policy, regardless of whether this resource is used inside or outside school hours or on or off school property.

AP TESTING FEE INCREASE
This message is for all parents and students who will be taking one or more Advanced Placement class in the 2010/2011 school year. We have received information from the Georgia Department of Education that informs us that the state can no longer pay for the first test of any student taking an AP class as they have done in the past. In fact, the only help they can give is for a student who qualifies for free and reduced lunch and in that case, the state department will only pay for one test and no more. We would like for you to be aware of this so that you will not be surprised when the time comes to pay for AP tests. AP tests prices have risen from $86 to $87 per test. We wish you and your child great success in the AP process for the 2010/2011 school year.
